REEF 995 is a new residential and retail project by REEF Luxury Developments in Dubai Land Residence Complex (DLRC), Dubailand. Every residence at REEF 995 has a sunken balcony cooled by REEF’s patented system. REEF studied five years of wind data, recorded every ten minutes, along with the orientation of each building and balcony. Each balcony is treated as a separate case to create a “virtual room” that holds cool air outdoors, with the airflow volume, speed and direction set for year-round comfort and low energy use.
